But all this gets really complicated because of co-parenting, Sam Morgan [Kelly Monaco], and all new drama that starts soon. What helped Liz move from an attitude of being defensive to genuinely contrite was a talk with Robin Scorpio [Kimberly McCullough].
When Robin ran into Liz at GH, Liz was totally expecting a verbal smack down like she got from Sam and Carly Corinthos [Laura Wright] – and even from Jason himself. Instead, Robin was more understanding and just glad that the truth was out so Jason had his life back.

But Robin did also mention all the people that loved Jason that spent months not knowing he was alive. That calm discussion of the facts of the case really got through to Liz who is now ready to let Jason go if that’s what she has to do. Jason also has to sort out his new life. He’s lived with Liz or at the MetroCourt since he came back to town (and briefly with Hayden) so now he has to figure things out alone. He’s got plenty of money but no purpose.
In coming days, we’ll see him move out of the MetroCourt and into a new place – perhaps even with the Qs. Then he’s got to sort his professional life which, according to GH spoilers, will see him working at ELQ or with the Qs trying to take back ELQ – NOT for the mob.
But there’s a couple of hiccups in all of this. First, Jason has to answer for throwing Nikolas Cassadine [Tyler Christopher] off the balcony and it looks like rather than have him prosecuted by the DA, Nik will blackmail him. That means just when Jason was getting back control of his life, someone else steps into it to control him. To make it worse, it’s a Cassadine – just like before. Also making a mess of his fresh start is his troubled son Jake Spencer [James Nigbor].
Something Jake and Jason have in common is the Cassadine kidnap factor and, in coming weeks, we’ll see Jake pull his parents back together as he becomes more troubled. Jason and Liz have to work together to figure out what to do with their son. Jake, though, will see this closeness as his parents getting back together. Jason will forgive Liz in coming days, but that doesn’t mean he’s ready to recouple. Then when Jake sees Jason being friendly to Sam, he’ll act out.
Between Jake’s antics and Nikolas’ scheming, it looks like Liz and Jason will get off to a bumpy start in their new separate lives. What do you think GH fans, should Liz move on and try to forget about Jason and stick to co-parenting? Or should she fight to keep him in her life as a romantic partner?
