General Hospital Spoilers: Is Dr. Andre Maddox Leaving GH? Anthony Montgomery’s Status At Soap Revealed!

General Hospital spoilers are telling fans to stay calm, Anthony Montgomery, the actor who portrays Dr. Andre Maddox is not leaving the soap opera any time soon.  He has confirmed that he is honoring his contract, which means he will be sticking around in Port Charles for at least another three years. 

Montgomery got fans into a frenzy when he posted on his twitter account about having a great meeting about being part of an exciting new sci-fi series after his time is done on GH.

He promised fans that he will stick around as long as they keep wanting him to stay.  He admits that maybe in the future he will be able to pursue other projects at the same time, but for now he is focusing only on General Hospital.    

Dr. Andre Maddox arrived in Port Charles as a passive and kind psychiatrist, who hit it off with Jordan Ashford (Vinessa Antoine).

Jordan had just found out that her former brother-in-law and partner in crime, Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) was in town and she wanted him gone before anyone knew who he was; unfortunately for Jordan, Curtis quickly fell for Valerie Spencer (Brytni Sarpy) giving him a reason to stick around. 

The dynamic between Jordan and Andre has been rocky from the start.  They continue to fight to be together, but seem to fall on the opposite sides of job-related issues.  Anthony Montgomery’s portrayal of Andre has grown on most fans, especially when he was thrown into some hard core stories like Morgan Corinthos (Bryan Craig) being diagnosed with bipolar disorder.

His connection to Morgan and all his loved ones gave his character some real depth.  Now that Morgan was tragically killed in a mob hit gone wrong, Andre will have huge shoes to fill and very juicy stories lie ahead.  How excited are you to see him stay and what stories and characters he will become intertwined with? 

General Hospital fans who know Carly (Laura Wright) and Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), know that neither of them are going to give up until they know the truth about everything leading up to Morgan’s death, meaning they will be relying heavily on Dr. Maddox for answers when it came to Morgan’s therapy and medications.  There are exciting times ahead for Andre and everyone involved in his life.
