‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Hayden and Nikolas Showdown Coming – Heated Confrontation At The Nurses Ball?

‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers tease that things are going to get really ugly out at Wyndemere in coming days – so bad, in fact, that Hayden Barnes [Rebecca Budig] may turn on her hubby Nikolas Cassadine [Tyler Christopher]. Look for a major fight between the two that may go down at the Nurse’s Ball.

With Nikolas refusing to hand over the $5 million from the prenuptial agreement, Hayden is desperate for cash and planning an eBay blitz of Nikolas’ family heirlooms. She’s got the Cassadine castle living room looking like the staging area for a rummage sale and Nikolas is furious.

But when Diane Miller [Carolyn Hennesy] told him that Jason Morgan [Billy Miller] ran the purchase of the ELQ stock through the IRS registries and now he owes a pile of taxes, Nikolas snapped. Now he definitely can’t afford to give Hayden the $5 million to make her go away.

But he also can’t let her sell off his precious family items either since Nikolas is in financial trouble and is scrambling to protect Spencer Cassadine’s [Nicolas Bechtel] financial future. Remember that little baggie of diamonds that Nikolas took from Hayden?

Will Nikolas sell off her ice to pay his tax debts? And if he tries it, will Hayden go ballistic? The diamonds were the leverage that Nikolas was holding over Hayden’s head that could implicate her in her dad Raymond Berlin’s financial scam.

But if Nikolas sells off her diamonds, he’s got nothing to hold over her head. That means Hayden could go to the cops and rat Nikolas out for hiring an assassin to kill her. It was only their mutually-assured destruction keeping each other in check.

With the diamonds out of the picture, if Nik hocks them, the balance of power shifts to Hayden and she could call the cops on him. Hayden was willing to put up with a lot – even getting shot – to live in the lap of luxury but if she’s doomed to middle class life, Hayden might turn on Nikolas.

Hayden and Nikolas did love each other once, and certainly shared passion, but that seems to have turned to intense dislike. Will Nikolas sell the diamonds? And if so, will him pawning off Hayden’s safety net land him in jail for having her shot? Are these two destined to the poorhouse?

Should Hayden stick with Nikolas for richer and for poorer? Both will be on hand at the Nurse’s Ball and GH spoilers tease that they will make a major scene. Wonder if Liz Webber [Rebecca Herbst] and Curtis Ashford [Donnell Turner] will get dragged into their public drama…
