‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Franco Saves Hospital, Does Liz Owe Him & What Will He Want?

“General Hospital” (GH) Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst) might want to be careful what she wishes for! Now that Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth) has seemingly saved the hospital from gentrification, what does Liz owe him?

It’s hard to believe that a venerable institution like Port Charles’ General Hospital could be shuttered, but that’s exactly what happened after a series of murders took place there. The hospital was deemed unsafe and closed indefinitely. And that left a raft of people out of work, including Nurse Webber.

Apparently, Elizabeth’s best alternative was to pack up and move to glitzy Rochester. Because Florida or California would be too cold, right?

Anyway, fearing that he would lose his love, Franco sprang into action. He knew that the hospital would stay closed as long as two of the murders remained unsolved. His intuition told him that his lunatic, LSD-loving mother Heather Webber (Robin Mattson), was the killer.

It didn’t matter that she’s in lock up, she seems to come and go freely! Long story short, he tricked her into confessing on tape and turned the evidence over to the PCPD.

With the murder investigation seemingly closed, it looks like General Hospital will soon be operational. Which means that Elizabeth can stay in town and raise her boys, and hang out with Franco.

And what will Franco expect in return? He’s been open about his desire for the fair nurse. In contrast, Elizabeth has been a bit reluctant to shout her love from the rooftops. Her reluctance is understandable given his psychotic, law-breaking past.

Will she feel pressured to return his feelings now that he’s saved the hospital for her? General Hospital is Elizabeth’s legacy. It’s where her grandfather, Dr. Hardy, performed miracles. And it’s where her grandmother, Audrey, also worked as a nurse.

How indebted to Franco is Elizabeth Webber? And what sort of payback does Franco intend to seek? One thing’s for certain, it will be exciting to see how these two settle their score in the weeks ahead!
