‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Claudette Turns Up The Charm While Stranded With Nathan – Will Maxie Forgive Her Fiance?

When Headwriters, Jean Passanante and Shelly Altman began writing the character of Claudette “C.J.” Beaulieu, they were writing it with Bree Williamson in mind.  We, as fans, were fortunate enough that she was available and any fan of ‘One Life to Live’ was excited to see her arrival.

Bree Willaimson is great at playing complicated characters, so for her to portray Claudette, she has hit the jackpot!!  She can be very sweet and caring, but manipulative at the same time. We can see both sides of that just by her history with men.  She had two decent guys in her life: her cop husband, Nathan West (Ryan Paevey) and the local priest, Griffin Munro (Matt Cohen); who coincidentally is a Doctor working at GH.

After some manipulating from Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms), Claudette acts like she has given up and leaving town.  She goes as far as smashing their wedding photo to prove she is over Nathan, but then her car service conveniently doesn’t show up.  Nathan, being the kind hearted and obviously naïve man he is, offers to give her a ride, and then true to “Murphy’s Law”, something goes wrong and they are left stranded in the wilderness. It’s not until this point that Nathan realizes he made a huge mistake and that he is kind of dumb when it comes to relationships!

Claudette uses this alone time to her advantage and starts to talk about the good times they shared together, which softens Nathan’s mood and attitude towards her.  Ryan, who portrays Nathan, insists that his character is completely over her, but when you share a past and really loved somebody, there is always going to be a soft spot in your heart. Things in the wilderness start to get dangerous, and Claudette ends up getting hurt.

How is Nathan going to explain this to Maxie? When Maxie and Nathan reunite, there is going to be a conversation between them that could change everything for them, including whether they will get married or not.
