When Sam Morgan (Kelly Monaco) and the group were rescued from Cassadine Island, Greece; Sam is admitted into General Hospital after having a few fainting spells and learned she was pregnant. Since then, Jason (Billy Miller) and Sam have gotten remarried and things are going good for her and her expanding family, but not so much for her mother, Alexis.
General Hospital’s trial of the century, ended rather quickly when D.A. Paul Hornsby (Richard Burgi) was forced to accept that the search warrant was for the wrong address, therefore anything obtained in that search would be considered “fruit from the forbidden tree” and inadmissible in court. Alexis’ testimony didn’t help when she was slurring her words and staggering all over the place.
Alexis appeared to be under the influence and everything she had said was thrown out of court. The sad thing was, Alexis was telling the truth about how she had only had one small glass of wine before court. It’s too bad that actions speak louder than words, because to fans it was clear that’s he was drugged. Sam should have taken her mother at her word and taken her to the General Hospital to be tested for any kind of drugs.
GH’s Sam comes to visit her mother, and voices her concerns about Alexis’ drinking and makes a deal with her. Alexis agrees to not have a drop of alcohol, as long as Sam is pregnant. Of course this doesn’t last long. It seems that Alexis has become a full blown alcoholic. From everything that Alexis has been through, she is suffering from PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder), and instead of getting help for it, she is drowning her sorrows in a bottle of alcohol.

Nancy Lee Grahn, the actress who portrays Alexis, wants to share a message with the fans. Many fans feel that Alexis is too smart to become an alcoholic and use alcohol as a crutch to take the edge off all her pain and misery, but Grahn says this is a huge misconception because some of the smartest, capable women out there abuse alcohol.
On General Hospital, things just go from bad to worse when Julian pays a visit to Alexis. He tells her that he loves her and still believes there is a future for them. Of course, this is after he admonishes her for her behavior in the courtroom. Is it possible that Alexis will actually accept Julian’s offer and acknowledge that he may be the only one to pull her out of this rut?
It may seem like the only possibility, but there are going to be obstacles and there will be people who are going to make things even worse before they get better, especially those who have a vendetta against Julian after all charges were dropped and because of double jeopardy law, he may never be charged with the crime again. What do you think about Julexis reuniting? And who on General Hospital might be the one to finally take Julian down for his crimes? It could be someone totally unexpected!!
