‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Are Franco and Liz Destined for Love – Or Will His Past Get in the Way?

‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers tease that things may heat up this summer between reformed serial killer Franco [Roger Howarth] and single mom of three Liz Webber [Rebecca Herbst]. But can Franco win her over or is his past too much of an obstacle for Liz to deal with?

The chemistry between Franco and Liz is undeniable, but it may be hard for Liz to see Franco without all his baggage attached. And it’s not just the serial killer stuff to get past, it’s the things that Franco has done to those she loves and to Liz personally.

Remember Franco kidnapped Liz’s son Aiden when he was a newborn and handed him off to his lunatic mother Heather Webber [Robin Mattson]. Plus, there the all the hijinks that Franco got up to during his obsessive period with Jason Morgan [Billy Miller].

We also wonder if Nina Clay [Michelle Stafford] and Franco are really done and over. Those two seemed like a perfect match but then the baby mama drama tore them apart because Franco won’t be moved from his stance on not fathering a child.

But what does work in Franco’s favor, in a big way, is that Jake Webber [Hudson West] really likes Franco. Plus, when Franco took the stage with Jake at the Nurses Ball and encouraged him to sing despite his nerves, that definitely warmed Liz’s heart.

What also may sway Liz towards Franco is that, in coming days, as she becomes more determined to take down Hayden Barnes [Rebecca Budig] for killing off Nikolas Cassadine [Tyler Christopher], Franco steps up to help with the scheme.

Of course, Liz is off the mark since Nikolas isn’t dead and Hayden didn’t do anything to him, so this scheme should fizzle out soon. But if Franco is loyal to Liz, that could go a long way to convincing her that he might be the man for her.
