GH’s Anna Devane has been a super spy and Police Commissioner, but she feels defeated, angry and shattered. She gives in her resignation, but will she rethink about it, when and if current PCPD Police Commissioner, Jordan Ashford (Vinessa Antoine) reveals that as Paul (Richard Burgi) was being escorted to prison, he dropped a bombshell on Jordan.
The disgraced General Hospital D.A. Paul Hornsby, was neck deep in betrayals, blackmail and mob affiliations before he even became the GH serial killer; before he even left his holding cell, he informed Jordan that he will be pleading guilty, so there will be no big trial. Jordan left, but before Ava Jerome (Maura West) had a chance to leave as well, he told her, he was not going to give her the flash drive with her confession of killing Connie on it.
Just before General Hospital’s PCPD escorted Paul to prison, Jordan asked him, what happened at Julian Jerome’s William DeVry) trial, and if he threw the trial for Julian. Paul simply looked at her and said, “Ask Ava!” Will Anna be able to walk away after she learns what really happened? Paul’s words may have just set in motion General Hospital’s biggest mob war ever.
The biggest question on everyone General Hospital fan’s mind is could Anna live with Julian going unpunished, especially knowing he is responsible for the death of Duke Lavery (Ian Buchanan), the love of her life? We all know that Anna has never been one to agree with Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) lifestyle, but has she come to the point that she doesn’t care if on mobster were to “take out” the other? Is it possible Anna co-signed on Julian Jerome’s car being bombed?
General Hospital spoilers reveal that in the end, Jordan accepts Anna’s resignation, but Head writer Shelly Altman promises that this doesn’t mean Anna is going to fall into the background, but says that “Anna will be taken down another road that will spiral off a surprising encounter!” Fans can rest reassured that Anna will remain a prominent part of the storyline for the foreseeable future.
