‘General Hospital’ spoilers have teased off and on that that Hayden Barnes Cassadine [Rebecca Budig] might have a husband out there somewhere. There is a rumor that Cameron Mathison [Ryan Lavery, ‘All My Children’] could be the mystery guy who has been searching high and low for Hayden for nearly two years.
Hayden appeared on the scene lured to town by Ric Lansing [Rick Hearst] in order to make Jake Doe aka Jason Morgan [Billy Miller] think Jake/Jason was Hayden’s husband. Ric had ulterior motives – his beloved Elizabeth Webber knew Jake’s true identity and had fallen back in love with him.Eventually Ric and Hayden’s scam was exposed, everyone found out Jake was really Jason. Liz lost Jason to Sam Morgan [Kelly Monaco] and Hayden blackmailed Nikolas Cassadine [Tyler Christopher] into marriage.

Eventually, Ric and Hayden’s scam was exposed, everyone found out Jake was really Jason. Liz lost Jason to Sam Morgan [Kelly Monaco] and Hayden blackmailed Nikolas Cassadine [Tyler Christopher] into marriage.
But an off-hand comment left ‘GH’ viewers wondering if Hayden had a husband lurking somewhere back in Beechers Corners. There is a rumor that Cameron Mathison [Ryan Lavery, ‘All My Children] might be cast in the role of Hayden’s mysterious husband.
A recent pic shared by Rebecca has the ‘General Hospital’ rumor mill in overdrive. In the photo Rebecca has her arm wrapped around Cameron and the two are smiling and looking cozy. Rebecca wrote, “And breakfast with my buddy today..Merry Christmas, Cammy. @cameronmathison @vanessa.mathison @hurrybackusa #family #love #neverenoughtime.”

It wouldn’t be the first-time Rebecca and Cameron played an on-screen husband and wife. Rebecca portrayed Greenlee Smythe who, after much scheming and conniving, fell in love with Ryan Lavery on ‘All My Children.’ A few fans even commented that it would be great if Rebecca and Cameron worked together again on ‘General Hospital.’
Right now Hayden is the pariah of Port Charles. Her only friends are Dr. Hamilton Finn [Michael Easton] and Tracy Quartermaine [Jane Elliot]. Perhaps half-sister Elizabeth Webber [Rebecca Herbst] could be counted as an unwilling ally.
If Hayden’s husband were to show up in town would it be a good thing or a bad thing? When it comes to Hayden, nothing ever goes smoothly. If the rumors are true, and right now it is just a rumor, would you like to see Cameron and Rebecca paired romantically on ‘General Hospital’? If Cameron does sign on the dotted line with ‘GH’ would he better be a love interest for someone else?
