‘General Hospital’ POLL: Which New GH Couple Are You Cheering For? VOTE!

General Hospital’s (GH) Port Charles must have something in the water. Cupid has arrived and new couples are developing right before our eyes. First, we have the reunion and marriage of longtime fan favorites, Jason (Billy Miller) and Samantha Morgan (Kelly Monaco). Carly (Laura Wright) and Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) fans were able to enjoy a little reunion, and are struggling with the possibility of another divorce; but we do have hope and new loves to invest in.

Laura Webber (Genie Francis) and Dr. Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom) may be an older couple on the show; but longtime fans have been thoroughly enjoying them together. Kevin made an error in judgment when he withheld information about the book he was writing, and Laura deeply felt betrayed; but who could really blame her, considering her track record with deceitful men. Kevin is a kind, gentle and caring man, something Laura has never experienced before. They have been acquaintances for many years, and they couldn’t have come together at a better time.

Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth) and Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst) are also beginning to look like they are in it for the long-haul. Franco has done some pretty dastardly things, but that seems to be Liz’ type of man, no? Most fans never thought they could see Liz with any man other than Lucky Spencer (Jonathan Jackson), but Franco is opening hearts and minds to a truly amazing love story. Liz brings out the best, and the worst in Franco and it remains to be seen how strong their love for each other truly is; but there is no denying how much Franco loves Liz’ son.

When General Hospital’s eccentric Dr. Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) arrived in town, no one knew what to expect from him. He was quirky and sometimes flat out strange, but when he met Hayden Barnes (Rebecca Budig) things began to change. He began to open up about his life and his heartache. He trusted her with his life, literally. Even though he is positive his life is coming to an end quickly, he is finding himself fall for Hayden, and vice versa.

Hayden is used to manipulating, conning and stealing from mark she chooses; but when it comes to Finn, there is nothing for her to gain by hustling him. They started out very hostile towards each other, and now their conversations are filled with tenderness and awkwardness. If they would just admit to each other, how they really feel, they could become the very couple everyone wants to root for.

Nina Reeves (Michelle Stafford) has not had much experience when it comes to men; in fact, the only man she ever truly loved was Dr. Silas Clay (then Michael Easton); but after waking up from a 20-year coma and learning that not only did her husband cheat on her, she also lost her one and only chance to every have a child. Franco was able to open her mind and heart, only to hurt her as well.

Along came Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart), a mysterious, yet sexy stranger. Nina fell into bed with him within minutes of meeting him, and she may not be willing to admit it out loud yet, but she likes him. He intrigues her, and the feeling is definitely mutual. If Valentin and Nina were to get together, these two could be one of the most powerful couples in all of Port Charles, and who wouldn’t want to cheer them on?
