‘General Hospital’ POLL: Is Paul Hornsby a Good Guy or Bad Guy? VOTE!

‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers reveal that there is still far more to come from Paul Hornsby [Richard Burgi] than we’ve seen so far. That man is like an onion with many layers to peel – that leaves you in tears. But is Paul ultimately good or bad? Check out the evidence then vote in the POLL.

Bad: Paul Murdered Sloane and Lied

Paul told Anna Devane [Finola Hughes] a big lie about why he killed Sloane. There’s doubt about whether Sloane really attacked Paul’s daughter and the bottom line is he shot Sloane in cold blood, kicked him in water and passed him off as Carlos’s dead body. That’s real bad guy stuff.

Good: Paul Cares About His Kids

Paul does seem to have genuine concern for his kids. After all, he dropped a cool $500k to help Dillon Quartermaine [Robert P Watkins] make his movie and didn’t even fuss when it fizzled out. And he sure seems concerned about estranged kid Susan. Paul was even nice to Anna’s granddaughter.

Bad: Paul Coerced Ava into Life of Crime and Sex

Paul dragged Ava Jerome [Maura West] into his web of lies to work the gun running project with him against her will. He also stole the evidence against her from Scotty Baldwin [Kin Shriner] and held it over her head while he coerced her to sleep with him. Paul was a real pig to Ava – even if she’s a bad girl…

Good: Paul Protected Anna from Sloane

Even though the truth of why he killed Sloane is still unknown, the bottom line is that Paul has protected Anna at many stages during his tenure as DA. He did not use the evidence against her on the Carlos shooting even though he could have taken her out long ago. Paul has been protective of Anna all along.

Bad: Paul Helped Carlos Get Away

For whatever reason, Paul has ties to Carlos and doesn’t seem to want him to be caught and prosecuted. That’s not good guy stuff since Carlos is clearly a killer. Paul even had Anna and Robert Scorpio [Tristan Rogers] locked up in Canada so Carlos could get away. Unless Carlos has turned informant, that’s shady.

Good: Paul Isn’t Really Running Guns

As far as we can tell at this moment, Paul isn’t actually running guns. Perhaps he’s stockpiling them as part of his plan to take down Dixon [Troy Ruptash] for running guns. If he was really arms dealing, he would not have told Anna to call in backup to help him with the deal on the docks.

Bad: Paul Used Sex to Get the DA Job

As far as we know, it was implied that Paul sexed up Mayor Janice Lomax [Shari Belafonte] to get the DA job. We know that Lomax is corrupt as they come, so him having long-time ties to the shady mayor does not seem like good-guy stuff. But maybe that’s all part of his master plan…

Good: Paul Genuinely Cares About Tracy

Although Paul snuck off and bedded Ava during the Nutcracker Gala which hurt Tracy Quartermaine’s [Jane Elliot] feelings, we know that he really does care about her as the mother of her child. And he’s clearly concerned about whatever health crisis she’s going through right now.
