‘General Hospital’ POLL: Who Is Your Favorite Port Charles Police Commissioner Of All Time? VOTE!

‘General Hospital’ (GH) has had a handful police commissioners in recent years – some more dedicated to law and order than others. Here’s a look at the six most recent – check them out and vote in the POLL below on which was your favorite PCPD chief.

Robert Scorpio [Tristan Rogers]

The first PCPD commissioner most people remember is Robert Scorpio. The former (and later) WSB spy reigned for a couple of years taking care of Port Charles’ law and order in the mid-80s but retired to move to Australia with then-wife Holly Sutton [Emma Samms]. Robert served again as the boss from 1988 through 1992 when he supposedly “died” in an explosion trying to rescue Anna.

Anna Devane [Finola Hughes]

Anna took over for Robert as PCPD boss when he left in 1986 but she had to share the job with Burt Ramsey who later turned out to be a mobster. While she was chief, she got involved with Duke Lavery [Ian Buchanan] and that kicked off their epic love story and lead to her exit from Port Charles for a time. She stepped back into the role again in 2012 up until Kyle Sloane managed to steal the job from her.

Sean Donely [John Reilly]

Sean took on the role of PCPD chief after Robert and Anna had individual and tangled tenures. Since Sean once ran the WSB as its chief spy, overseeing law and order in little Port Charles seemed easy enough. He initially took over temporarily so Robert could go rescue Anna but then stayed on when both were presumed dead in a nasty explosion. He left after he was shot in a mob showdown.

Mac Scorpio [John J York]

Mac had a long run as PCPD chief from 1996 through 2012. Mac had lots to deal with during his time in the job. Cesar Faison [Anders Hove] was making trouble, there was the Joseph Sorel incident, an epic Spencer-Cassadine war that he was pulled into and, of course, the whole Text Message Killer thing who turned out to be Georgie’s boyfriend. Eventually, crooked Mayor Lomax [now Shari Belafonte] fired him.

Kyle Sloane [Robb Derringer]

Sloane got the top cop job after Anna was ousted (she took over after Mac) thanks to him helping the crooked mayor rig the election with help from Nikolas Cassadine [Tyler Christopher]. Sloane vowed to take down Anna but ended up falling for her and taking her to bed (just the once) before she left town after Duke’s death. Lomax later turned on Sloane and axed him from the chief job.

Jordan Ashford [Vinessa Antoine]

Former undercover cop Jordan got the job from the unscrupulous mayor after Sloane got on her bad side and was fired. Jordan has done a good job with law and order and isn’t a corrupt minion even though Lomax handed her the position. However, Jordan is dealing with a corrupt DA – Paul Hornsby [Richard Burgi] – who is making it hard for her to serve justice as it should be.
