Ever since Franco (Roger Howarth) was acquitted of his crimes via Diane’s (Carolyn Hennesy) creative yet unconventional brain tumor defense, he has been a man on a mission of sorts, and that is to redeem his abysmal reputation. However, it seems that signs of late are pointing to his possible return to the Dark Side. Are General Hospital fans in agreement here?
We always knew that the possibility existed, given his history. (And heck, anyone who’s a favorite of Dr. Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) is bound to be loose a few screws no matter how much they may have changed.) However, with his addition to the hospital staff as an art therapist, – putting his considerable creative talents to good use – his love for Nina (Michelle Stafford), his attempted courting of Liz (Rebecca Herbst) and his bond with her son, Jake (Hudson West) we began to see his kinder, gentler side. Was General Hospital rewriting his character to go “soft?”
Well, perhaps not. The first sign that something might be seriously amiss occurred when Liz went to the aid of the already dead Dr. Mayes (Matt Riedy) and, lo and behold Franco suddenly appeared in the doorway after she yelled for help. The hospital is now in the midst of a serial killer stalking its esteemed halls, and not to be flip but heck, that used to be a “Franco specialty” in his crime days.
The most recent foreboding moment came when Liz shut down Franco’s attempt to enroll Jake in art camp behind her back. Liz bluntly told him to watch his boundaries with her kids, and even went as far to ask Epiphany (Sonya Eddy) to rearrange her schedule so she would not be on the floor the same time as Franco. Oops, big mistake. General Hospital fans know that one should watch what one says and where one says it anywhere in Port Charles and especially at the hospital, as there always may be someone there to overhear; in this case, Franco. He is none too pleased with the nurses’ exchange, and when he and Liz find themselves alone in the elevator and she tries to make small talk, Franco flashes her a menacing stare and presses the “stop” button. Yeah, not good. Not good at all for Miss Liz. But it all ended well when Liz admitted she liked Franco.
What do you think, is Franco headed back to the Dark Side, or is this just a momentary bout of pique, given that he’s been recently dumped by Nina? Vote now!

No, I don’t think so. Deep down Franco wants to be a good guy. And his potential blossoming relationship with Liz gives his extra reason for him to be good. He really wants to be apart of her life and Jake’s life.
the only person that loves and can save FRANCO is NINA!!! without NINA then FRANCO becomes evil case closed….
