‘General Hospital’ POLL: 5 Reasons Liz and Franco Belong Together – Do You Agree? VOTE!

‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers tease that as soon as Liz Webber [Rebecca Herbst] is back next week, her friendship with Franco [Roger Howarth] will deepen. It looks like GH fans have a new couple to root for (or against). Here’s five reasons Franco and Liz would be great together. Do you like them as a couple?

#1 Liz Needs a NEW Man!

Even Liason fans have to admit that the Jason Morgan [Billy Miller] – Sam Morgan [Kelly Monaco] – Liz triangle was getting tired. It has been raging for more than a decade and needs to be buried once and for all. And Liz going back to Nikolas Cassadine [Tyler Christopher] seems tired and done to death as well. Clearly, Liz needs someone new in her life and Franco would be a breath of fresh air.

#2 Liz Does NOT Need Any More Kids

Liz takes a lot of heat for her three baby daddies so the last thing she needs is another kid. Fortunately, Franco does NOT want a kid and Liz does NOT need another. That’s one topic they can agree on. That means they can hook up without baby complications. You know what they say – “crazy in the head, crazy in bed.” Since they are both a little nuts the sparks would definitely fly between them!

#3 Jake Needs Franco

If anyone could handle being a step-dad to troubled Jake Spencer [Hudson West] and firebug Cameron Spencer [Michael Leone], it’s freaky Franco. Jake needs someone who understands his troubled nature and can lead him out of the darkness and to a path of relative normalcy. It’s hard to imagine anyone as a better side-dad to Liz’s boys than Franco. He loves kids, just doesn’t want to spawn any.

#4 Liz and Franco Have Both Been Port Chuck Pariahs

If anyone understands what it’s like to be universally hated, it’s Franco. Sure some people have stuck by Liz and others have paid lip service to forgiving her, but clearly Sam, Carly Corinthos [Laura Wright] and Monica Quartermaine [Leslie Charleson] still hate her. Interestingly, their list of shared enemies seems to have a lot of common names on it, so that’s something they can bond over!

#5 Liz with Franco Would Irritate Jason

We will soon see Jason making demands on Liz to cut Franco out of her and Jake’s lives. Liz won’t like that. Liz needs to get over Jason once and for all and Franco might be the key. But also, Liz is still hurt that Jason chose Sam over her (even though we all understand why he did it) and her being with Franco – which would bother Jason – would give Liz a certain sense of satisfaction.

Don’t look for Liz and Franco to hop into bed together anytime soon. This will be a slow burning relationship but it will kick off in May sweeps. Liz is back on May 4 and Franco will reveal his break-up with Nina Clay [Michelle Stafford] which was an obvious move by GH showrunners to lay the groundwork for this romance. Liz will offer him a shoulder to cry on about the split.

In coming weeks, we’ll see their friendship deepen but it won’t be without its challenges since Liz knows plenty about Franco’s dark history. It will take time for her to trust him completely but it looks like they are on a path that’s destined for love – and we can’t wait to see it unfold. What do you think about the Friz pairing?
