‘General Hospital’ News: Will Robert Palmer Watkins Compete On ‘Dancing With The Stars?’

General Hospital’s Robert Palmer Watkins (Dillon) is a good singer, but is he a good dancer? Is he good enough to compete in a ballroom competition? Watkins’ fans may get a chance to find out whether he is a good dancer or not. If his fans have their way, he may be one of the next contestants on the ABC reality show Dancing With the Stars. Fans of the soap star have started a campaign so the talented actor could join the show.

Watkins is aware that there is an interest in him joining the dancing competition. He posted a message about it on social media. The actor is more than willing to join the reality show if the campaign is a success. Watkins was surprised that his fans wanted him to join the show. He loves how supportive the fans are about him being on the show. He was shocked by the amount of people who wanted to campaign for him to join the competition. If the show asks him to join, he will be more than willing to do it. He is terrified, but he’s willing to give it a shot.

Watkins wouldn’t be the first soap star to join the reality show. There have been a few soap stars that have done the show over the years. Two of his co-stars have already competed on the show. Kelly Monaco (Sam) and Ingo Rademacher (Jax) have been on previous seasons of the long running reality show. Kelly Monaco was on the first season of the competition. She was the first winner of the show. She also dealt with controversy when she had to do a rematch with former soap star John O’Hurley (who also appeared on General Hospital) because fans didn’t believe she should have won over O’Hurley.

Other soap stars who appeared on Dancing With The Stars are Cameron Mathison (Ryan on ALL My Children), Susan Lucci (Erica on All My Children), and J.R. Martinez (Brot on All My Children). J. R. Martinez won on his season of the show. If Robert Palmer Watkins joins the show, will he be the third soap star to win the mirror ball trophy?
