“General Hospital” actor Ryan Paevey spent the Labor Day weekend hard at work on his popular artisan jewelry line which fans can check out, and buy, on his website FortunateWanderer.com.
“Tinkering today…#fortunatewanderer, #becreative, #workwithyourhands, #smallwonders,” he captioned the Instagram photo that displays his latest creative endeavors.
Paevey’s website also showcases his original photography, available for purchase in a postcard format. Judging by his fans’ comments many are already wearing his jewelry and some can’t resist making special requests, “Can you make me a bracelet with amethyst colored stones?” asks one enthusiastic fan.
Paevey’s nature-inspired art is definitely infused with a maritime theme. Fortunatewanderer.com visitors are treated to a poem by Canadian poet and adventurer Robert Service, and the logo features a stylized anchor and compass.
The site is still a work in progress (the “About Us” section promises that information is, “Coming Soon!”) but eager shoppers can get their hands on Paevey’s jewelry with a click and some cash.
The bracelet collection features six unisex pieces, most featuring round beads and complimentary metal findings. The Wanderer, an understated slide-knot bracelet fashioned from hemp cord, is the most affordable design and sells for $20.
At the top end of the range is the Sahara, made with sandalwood beads and white marble stones. It goes for $70. The Boheme is the lone necklace featured, but it is already sold out!
If you’re not into wearable art, consider purchasing a set of Paevey’s postcards. Each is a beautiful reproduction of a photograph displayed on the website. At just $20, a set of three postcards is both a treat and a bargain!
Paevey’s love of nature is captured exquisitely in his picturesque photos, taken at both close-up and distance range.
Did you say engines and asphalt are more your things? Then be sure to scroll through Paevey’s impressive photographic catalogue; you won’t be disappointed with his atmospheric shots of motorcycles and railroads!
We selfishly hope that Paevey continues to find a way to juggle his amazing and popular craftwork with his screen work as GH’s detective Nathan West, because the art world’s gain would be daytime’s loss!
