‘General Hospital’ News: Rebecca Herbst’s Husband Michael Saucedo Teases Bad News About Wife’s Contract At ‘GH’

‘General Hospital’ (GH) news on Rebecca Herbst’s contract status has been little to nothing. So it was of great interest when her husband Michael Saucedo (ex-Juan Santiago, GH) replied to a fan tweet that asked for news on Rebecca’s renewal.

A fan of his wife’s with the Twitter handle BeckySteveLover asked Saucedo “any news u wanna tell us wink wink” and he responded “nothing you want to hear” followed with a little monkey emoji with its hands over its ears.

What does the “hear no evil” emoji and this cryptic message mean? The implication is that it’s not good news. Since we want to hear that Rebecca – and her alter-ego Liz Webber – are sticking around, what we don’t want to hear sounds like stalled talks or NO renewal.

While it’s not clear what it means, it doesn’t sound like good news. If true, that’s upsetting since Herbst is a fan fave and Liz has clearly turned into the primary character many fans love to hate. Rebecca was snubbed for an Emmy nomination and now there’s all this contract mess.

Since Liz-Jason-Sam have been the primary story for the past year, it would be sad to see Rebecca go. Even with Liason broken and dead (at least for now), there are tons more storyline opportunities for Liz at General Hospital.

We shouldn’t expect Rebecca Herbst to comment, though, since she’s been a real class act throughout all of this.

Rebecca is one of those actresses who has clearly devoted her career to GH – she doesn’t do outside work – and should be recognized for her loyalty, consistently excellent performances, and the passion she inspires in fans. After all, Liz fans even started a “Save Becky” petition.
