So many really good performances last week! So many moments where I was glad I tuned in, and a few I would have happily skipped, and that all means that it’s hard to land on just one. This time I’m going to share the love around.
My first choice is Jane Elliot. The premise is disturbing so many different ways but those fictional worms have been an incredible source of great material for Jane. She seizes like she means it! She bleeds like she got hit by Jason! She’s soft and fuzzy one moment and bristly and snappish the next! She’s Tracy like we’ve never seen Tracy before and I am enjoying the hell out of this weirdly long and drawn out drama. I am almost sorry that Dr. Munro removed the cysts.
Almost…

Now to some honorable mentions:
Michael Easton. Finn gets more and more intriguing all the time. His relationship with Tracy is oddly sweet. He obviously cares. It’s not like he lacks the capacity to be a user-friendly kind of guy so his odd attack on Doc Munro feels creepy and dark. It’s apparent that whatever is in that giant syringe keeps him from spinning out but the mystery is why it’s necessary. Does he have some strange parasite living in his system that cause those intense mood shifts? Is he some old and decaying Cassadine nightmare that requires that serum to stay youngish? So far we have not been given a single clue as to what the shooting up is all about. The payoff to this element of his character better be good!
As an aside, I hope someone is feeding Roxy. The Finnster was apparently on shift for 24 hours with the Tracy drama.
Nancy Lee Grahn & Lexi Ainsworth. It all feels so real. I love the chemistry between Alexis and Kristina. I am enjoying this whole “coming out” confusion thing a lot!

Finola Hughes. Kickass Anna chloroforming Paul was priceless. Dropping the rag on him when he was subdued in that whole “and that’s how I roll” way was just amusing. Yay, Anna!
Billy Miller. I know he’s a kinder, gentler Jason now but watching him shred Nicholas and take down Curtis was entertaining. Maybe it’s just that I’ve been waiting a long time now for someone to slap down the prince.
New day, new adventures!
Until next week!
