‘General Hospital’ News: Nicolas Bechtel Taking A Break From GH – Spencer Leaving Port Charles

In casting news Genie Francis [Laura Spencer] will be taking a break and so will her on-screen grandson Nicolas Bechtel [Spencer Cassadine]. ‘General Hospital’ stories continue to heat up and as usual, some characters will be leaving and some will be staying.

Tyler Christopher should be back any minute now as Nikolas Cassadine. With Nikolas coming back viewers thought his son Spencer would be around but Soap Opera Digest reports that the young actor’s summer break has now come to an end.

‘General Hospital’ spoilers reveal that Spencer will leave Port Charles for a European boarding school next week. This was teased in this week’s episode when Laura and Hayden [Rebecca Budig] had a heated confrontation on what should happen to little Spencer. Hayden believes that she is within her rights to speak out as she is the boy’s stepmother but Laura is his Grandmother and the decision had been made.

Spencer will be gone to boarding school but we are sure it won’t be long before he makes a visit back to Port Charles. Things could also be reversed if and when everyone learns that Nikolas is indeed alive. Right now there is no indication when the young actor will be back but we are sure it will happen since he remains on a recurring status with the show.

Spencer will be missed no doubt – viewers have gotten use to this fine little-talented boy. And just like his character, Bechtel possesses a humorous side to him. We may not see him on GH until later this fall but the young actor does keep himself very busy. Viewers can also catch him in the TV series ‘Stuck in the Middle’, which he remains a part of for the upcoming new season. We will miss our Spencer!
