‘General Hospital’ News: Maurice Benard Reunites With Original ‘GH’ Carly, Sarah Brown!

“General Hospital” fans, is there a Maurice Benard (Sonny)/Sarah Brown (Carly) reunion in the works? It’s a done deal!  The two stars met up in real life recently and Benard posted the cutest pic to his Instagram account.

Brown looks fantastic, and Benard isn’t too shabby in a delightful fedora.  “Blast from the past,” wrote Benard, and he isn’t kidding. They look so natural together, it’s hard to believe they first appeared together onscreen way back in the last century.

Bad girl Carly came on the scene in 1996, determined to get revenge on Bobbi Spencer (Jacklyn Zeaman), her biological mother. Hurricane Carly wreaked all kinds of havoc in Port Charles. She eventually made up with Bobbi and made peace with the Spencer clan. GH fans could tell that even Uncle Luke (Tony Geary) accepted her when he stopped trolling her by her given name, “Car-o-line!”

Brown was a hard-core fan favorite. After she left the role of Carly in 2001, demand for her return was non-stop. The show responded and brought her back in 2008, not as an evil twin, but in the role of Claudia Zacchara.  This time around fan response was divided, and mobster-psycho Claudia is long gone.

So, what do you think the two stars talked about? Did Brown give Benard some insight into Sonny’s current situation? Fans of the Dimpled Don know that Sonny has agreed to help out addicted Dr. Finn Hamilton (Michael Easton). But who is going to come out the winner in this duplicitous deal?
