‘General Hospital’ News: Maurice Benard Movie ‘The Ghost and the Whale’ Available May 17

“General Hospital” Maurice Benard’s [Sonny Corinthos] movie “The Ghost and the Whale” will be available on Digital HD and On Demand May 17. MarVista Entertainment is the distributor of the movie, which was produced by Maurice’s wife Paula Benard.

A proud Benard shared the news regarding the film’s release via Facebook and Twitter. The post and tweet of the movie poster was captioned, “I want to let everyone know that The Ghost and The Whale has finally found a home with MarVista Entertainment. I’m so proud of my wife, Paula, and The Ghost and The Whale cast and crew for all of their hard work. The film will be available on Digital HD and On Demand through other platforms on May 17, 2016. I’m excited that now everybody will be able to see me in a different role, and I promise it’s been worth the wait.”

“The Ghost and the Whale” cast includes the iconic Tippi Hedren, star of the 1963 Alfred Hitchcock movie “The Birds,” as Tippi! Maurice portrays the main character, Joseph Hawthorne. The cast includes actor Jonathan Price [High Sparrow, “Game of Thrones”], as Whale, actress Madeleine Hamer as Annabelle/The Ghost, and actress Monica Keena [Kristen, “Entourage”] as Dr. Sweetie Jones.

The synopsis of “The Ghost and the Whale” reads:  His wife Annabel Lees (Madeleine Hamer) disappearance and his subsequent exoneration creates a divided mystery among the town and moreover her bloodthirsty family”. The film was written by Anthony Gaudioso and directed by James Gaudioso and Anthony Gaudioso.

“GH” fans get ready for May 17 and check for Maurice and Paula Benard’s new movie. Once again Maurice is sharing his struggle with bipolar disorder with the world.
