Maurice Benard shared the good news with “GH” and “Castle” fans through his Facebook account. “On my way to film Castle. Ove the show excited to do something different.” Of course everyone is curious about the character Benard will portray, but that’s a secret, at least for now.
One Facebook follower commented, “I think it’s a rite of passage for GH actors to do a guest spot on Castle. I wonder if it’s in their contracts!” Whatever the reason, many viewers are looking forward to seeing Maurice on the show.
Benard has been a very busy man lately. He and his wife Paula appeared on the February 25 episode of “The Dr. Oz Show” and discussed the challenges of living with bipolar disorder and how the family copes. Benard has been heavily involved in coaching co-star and on-screen son Bryan Craig [Morgan Corinthos]. Fans have responded with praise and positivity to Bryan’s portrayal of a young man dealing with a bipolar diagnosis.
We wonder what type of character Maurice Benard will portray on “Castle.” The actor indicated it will be something different. No mob boss for this mystery character? It will be interesting to see what the writers of the primetime show have in store for Maurice.
