‘General Hospital’ News: Laura Wright Splits with Husband of 20 Years!

After over 20 years of marriage, “General Hospital” (GH) star Laura Wright confirms that her and husband, John, are calling it quits.

Wright began the role of Carly Corinthos on ABC’s General Hospital in November 2005. Prior to that, Wright’s resume included show such as Guiding Light and The City.

In a subtle online statement with Soap Opera Digest Wright states:

“John and I have decided to end our 20-year marriage. We remain committed and dedicated to our two wonderful children and will always be a supportive, loving family of four – we are just doing it differently now!”

John and Laura were married in October 1995. During their marriage the couple had two children. Her oldest, Lauren, was born in 1998. Her son, Michael, was born a few years later in 2000. Though the statement does not elaborate on the reason’s behind the split, it does seem to suggest Wright is approaching everything with a positive attitude.

Wright remains active on her social media accounts and is continuing to participate in GH Fan events.
