‘General Hospital’ News: Kelly Monaco Celebrates 12th Anniversary As Sam Morgan – Congratulations!

‘General Hospital’s’ Kelly Monaco celebrates her 12^th Anniversary today as the lovely, sexy, devil-may-care, Samantha McCall Morgan. She swept into Port Charles, NY on the now defunct soap, “Port Charles” as con woman Olivia “Livvie” Locke-Morley from 1999 until 2003, and then as short-lived character, Tess Ramsey from 2002 – 2003 when the show was cancelled.

When Port Charles ended, Kelly then came on board to the cast of General Hospital as Samantha McCall in late 2003. During her years on GH, we’ve seen Kelly involved with a number of PC’s most dashing leading men, namely Maurice Benard (Sonny Corinthos), Ingo Rademacher (Jaspar Jacks), Michael Easton (Silas Clay), and Jason Thompson (Dr. Patrick Drake).

Though she has been involved with the above characters, there has only been one man who has held her heart, and her love… and that is: Jason Morgan (Quartermaine), first played by Steve Burton (1991 – 2012), and now being played by Billy Miller (2014 – current).

Now, after countless affairs-of-the-heart gone wrong, the last one being the ill-fated, often contentious affair with the overly-jealous, Dr. Patrick Drake, Samantha is coming back to the man who has haunted her dreams and whom she is only complete with… and that is her husband, Jason Morgan, whom she thought was dead and lost to her.

Samantha and Jason have a rich back history, and the fans of “JaSam”, as they have been affectionately dubbed, got the much-anticipated, much-longed for first kiss of their reunion, on Friday, February 12^th.  Jason and Sam kissed for the first time since Jason first returned to Port Charles a little over a year ago, but  he didn’t know who he was then.

Now, the stage is set for NuJason and Sam to start to re-build a life together as together, they struggle to help Jason put the pieces of his fractured past that have come as flashes of memory of a life he doesn’t remember, back together.

Congratulations to you Kelly! Here is to another 12 years as Samantha Morgan and being a part of one of the most-loved and most-endearing and enduring couples on Daytime TV.
