General Hospital News: Jeffrey Vincent Parise Headed To Primetime, Joins ‘The Detour’ Cast

General Hospital’s alum Jeffrey Vincent Parise has been keeping busy since we last saw him on the show. He exited earlier this year first as Carlos Rivera, then as Carlos’s brother Dr. Joe Rivera.

Jeffrey Vincent Parise announced that he has now joined the cast for the second season of “The Detour” on TBS.

The first episode premiers February 21st 2017 at 10pm. If you haven’t had a chance to see the show you can always check it out on YouTube, which has the first 3 episodes of Season 1.

According to Soap Opera Digest the series stars Passions alum Natalie Zea (ex-Gwen) and Daily Show alum Jason Jones, who created, wrote and executive-producers the series alongside his wife, Samantha Bee. So be sure to tune it and see the great Jeffrey Vincent Parise back in action.

He played the part of GH’s bad guy Carlos Rivera so well. Fans miss his character on the show and a lot of them were disappointed when he came on as Dr. Joe Rivera and took off into the sunset with Sabrina Santiago’s (Teresa Castillo) son Teddy after she was killed off the show.

GH fans want Jeffrey Vincent Parise to return as Dr. Joe Rivera so a DNA test can be done. Fans would like for Teddy to belong to Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) and feel like a DNA test should have been performed before Dr. Joe Rivera took off with him.
