‘General Hospital’ spoilers tease that James Nigbor is exiting the ABC soap. Oh, Oh! This is bad news for all the lovers of Little Jake on ‘General Hospital’. Rumor has it the show runners have decided to SORAS this child (rapidly age him). James’ twitter handle confirms that the actor has been let go and the character has already been recast.
The account which seems to be operated by his parent, who was showing their appreciation to all the fans of James Nigbor throughout his run as Jake, tweeted: ‘This is for my son James. You will always be our Liason Baby. Thank you to all the fans for loving my boy” shares the account owner. In response a fan stated “@JamesLNigbor Thank you for sharing him with us. I hope we see more of him on #GH”. Shockingly the owner of the account replied “@HCarp29 I’m sorry but he has been recast :(. Thanks for all your love and support.”
We just got back our Little Jake after so many years consumed with anger that the child was killed off back in 2011. James reprised the role of Jake in the latter part of 2015. It was revealed that the child was indeed alive when Luke (Anthony Geary) and Laura (Genie Francis) went in search of Helena for answers regarding their own issues. Jake is the biological son of Jason (Billy Miller) and Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) but fortunately for Jake he has two dads, Lucky also played the role of his father.

In recent stories, Jake was at Shriner’s Hospital recovering from injuries of an accident. Elizabeth and Jason had just realized how troubled their child was and sought help for him. Jake ended his unhealthy obsession with Sam (Kelly Morgan) forgiving her for reuniting with his dad although he wanted his parents back together. This is definitely horrible news, since the actor has displayed outstanding acting abilities. Though we are saddened by this news, we wish James all the best in regards to the future of his acting career. So GH fans are you as disappointed as we are with this casting news? Lucky has never been a parent to Jake or Aiden He was only briefly a dad to Cam. He’s a deadbeat SOB. Liz has raised those kids.Lucky can stay in Europe like the punk ass he is.

Bullshit! Liz is a single mom who works. Like everyone else in the world family is used to help babysit. Alexis/Molly babysit Danny.It’s what families do and Lucky has done jackshit.
I agree that Lucky has done nothing. They should recast his role. I know they don’t give the child actors much air time and I understand she is a single parent but they spend more time with grandma then with her. The same with Carly Joselyn is being raised by Jacks. Joselyn recast was crazy. She is suppose to be the same age as Emma, Spencer and Cam. Now she looks like she is 16. The writers make her look bad. They could make her just pretend they are in another room instead of always with grandma.
I am very disapointed that they r replacing Jake he is a good actor and I was so happy he was back??
This really sucks !!! I like James and I don’t understand why they wanted age do children so rapidly now all of a sudden it makes no sense he just got back to the show and I really love this kid
Unfortunately i found the kid creepy …won’t be sorry to see a recast. They need a late teen setor the show will have nobody to pair up.

That’s how they want the character portrayed. After spending years with Helena, you would be “creepy” too. I liked the job he did. Sorry, I am not a fan of rapid aging. It’s ridiculous unless all the kids are aged and then the whole show suffers.
I agree, they should age them all, they have their ages all messed up which viewers realize. I think they didn’t let us see if he could really act, they played up the creepy act and haven’t moved him on. They had to realize he isn’t four anymore and should have goven him more to do.

I think James Nigbor was a terrible actor…I know he had a tough role, but another kid aged into teenhood.
