‘General Hospital’ news tease that the ABC soap has cast Hudson West to play the part of little Jake Spencer, the son of Liz Webber (Rebecca Herbst) and Jason Morgan (Billy Miller). According to ‘GH’ spoilers from Soap Opera Digest, Hudson will make his first appearance in Port Charles on the episode airing on Monday April 25.
The Character of Jake Spencer was killed off years ago, however it was recently revealed that the little boy was still very much alive and had been held captive by Helena Cassadine (Constance Towers). When little Jake was returned to his parents James Nigbor played the part of the obviously troubled little boy. And, ‘GH’ fans seemed to be enjoying the actor. However, James’ mother unexpectedly announced on Twitter last month that Nigbor had been dropped from the ABC soap’s cast – it is unclear for what reasons.
Nigbor’s replacement Hudson West is not a newbie to television. He recently appeared in the FX drama “AMERICAN CRIME STORY: THE PEOPLE V. OJ SIMPSON.” His acting credits also include ‘Modern Family,’ Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2, and ‘Grace and Frankie.’
The last time we saw Jake Spencer he was recuperating from the last accident he was in, and he seemed to be recovering mentally as well. It will definitely be interesting to see what the ‘General Hospital’ writers have in store for this character next.

Why was the other kid let go? Did he really look creepy OR is this kid a better actor?

And he has played Jake before when he was little and got hit by the car the first time. Sorry to see him go.

This new kid is adorable:) although the old Jakes acting was pretty darn good,creepy even,which sounds about right since he was captive for all those years. Who knows what happen2him,hope2find out finally. Looking forward to this new lil actor!!!
I read that James didn’t have much acting experience. Some people said some pretty horrible things about him. I don’t think his parents liked that much and I don’t blame them! Also, who knows what was happening in his life. Maybe the parents pulled him out or maybe TPTB decided they wanted a kid with more experience. It’s a shame since he had the perfect look to be Jason’s son. There is a picture of Liz’s boys sitting on the sofa after Halloween and James looked bigger than Camero
This kid looks too young — more like Aidan than Jake — and has girlie hair. In fact, he could be an aged-up Aidan! He has TV and movie experience so he has more experience than James.
Too bad people have to be so mean, he was a good actor & was surprised & happy that they had brought back the original actor to play him once again!
Bring him back, he was better for the roll, he had the believable aura that he had been raised by Helena. Was so Happy they had bought back the original Jake, just so they could replace him, and not even age progress him.. I’m aggravated.
