Soap star Ashley Jones (Parker Forsyth, “General Hospital”; (GH) ex-Bridget Forrester, “The Bold and the Beautiful” (B&B) teases she’s taping an episode of The Dr. Oz Show. On August 30th, Ashley Jones took to Twitter posting a picture of New York City stating “Love NYC. About to tape @DrOz! On my way now.” Ashley Jones is one busy bee these days. Not only has she been stirring up trouble in Port Charles with Kristina Davis (Lexi Ainsworth) and writing as a celebrity blogger for People, the new mom now reveals that she’s currently in New York City, taping a guest appearance for The Dr. Oz Show. Ashley Jones is keeping the subject of her appearance under wraps.
As previously stated, the former “True Blood” star took to social media to share the news that she’s dropping by the syndicated program’s NYC studio to film a segment. She didn’t offer any hints as to what she might talk about with the famous doctor who got his start on The Oprah Winfrey Show. As soap fans know, daytime stars have made excellent guests in the past. Jones’ GH costar Maurice Benard (Sonny Corinthos) appeared on an episode of The Dr. Oz Show in February to discuss his long battle with bipolar disorder, while Days of our Lives star Alison Sweeney (ex-Sami Brady) appeared on an episode in May to discuss how her identity was stolen via a life changing Internet scam.
Ashley Jones does however go into a bit more details about her visit with Dr Oz, she stated on her website “I got to visit and chat with Dr. Oz today. I’m excited for you all to see the segment. Usana is revealing something big.” Ashley will no doubt discuss nutrition, staying healthy before and after pregnancy and much more. I am sure this will be a very educational interview between Ashley Jones and Dr Oz. We look forward to seeing her on Dr Oz show and back in Port Charles on General Hospital very soon!
