‘General Hospital’ News: Amber Tamblyn Shares Exciting News With Her Fans!

General Hospital’s Amber Tamblyn (ex Emily Quartermaine) is going to be a new mom! The 33-year-old “Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants” actress broke the exciting news in a special article for Glamour magazine.

This will be the first child, a daughter, for Amber and her husband David Cross. The two dated for several years before tying the knot in 2012.

Amber also posted her article, which also includes her political views on the upcoming election, to Facebook with the caption, “Here is my latest article for Glamour Magazine. It’s personal. And important. Like this election.”

Amber’s fans were quick to congratulate the mom-to-be: “Congratulations on your daughter! I am sure with you and David for parents and your mom and dad for grandparents, your daughter shall have a wonderful life!”

It’s clear from her article that Amber has given a lot of thought to being a mom: “I’ve been thinking about motherhood a lot lately. What it means to be one, what it means to have one, what it means to know one, what it means to make decisions as one and have conversations as one,” she wrote.

Doesn’t it sound like Amber is going to be the best mom ever? Her daughter is lucky to have such a smart, strong and thoughtful woman as her mother!

What do you think GH fans, will we ever see Amber again in Port Charles? She originated the role in 1995 and stayed until 2001. The character died in 2007, but nothing is ever final in soap land!

With her busy schedule and impending motherhood, it’s highly unlikely that Amber will ever revisit her GH role.

But now more than ever, the Q’s could use a little of Emily’s common sense! She was a stabilizing force, and wouldn’t it be nice if her ghostly presence would appear to comfort Michael (Chad Duell) as he mourns the loss of his brother?
