“General Hospital” executive producer Frank Valentini confirmed via Twitter that the “GH” Nurses’ Ball will return. Frank also used the tweet to celebrate the fact that Rebecca Herbst [Elizabeth Webber] and TPTB have reached an agreement on her contract.
The Nurses’ Ball was founded in 1994 by Lucy Coe [Lynn Herring] as a fundraiser for HIV and AIDS awareness and research after Robin Scorpio [Kimberly McCullough] was diagnosed HIV-positive. The Nurses’ Ball 2001 was the last one until TPTB revived it in 2013 in honor of the “General Hospital” 50th Anniversary.
Now held annually at the Metro Court which is owned by Carly Corinthos [Laura Wright] and Olivia Falconeri [Lisa LoCiero], the Nurses’ Ball has become quite the event for Port Charles residents. The 2015 event spanned three days, May 1, May 4 and May 5, and included Nathan West [Ryan Paevey], Lucas Jones [Ryan Carnes], Felix DuBois [Marc Samuel], Michael Quartermaine [Chad Duell] and T.J. Ashford [Tequan Richmond] in the “Magic Milo” act. Duke Lavery [Ian Buchanan] and Anna Devane [Finola Hughes] danced their famous and beloved tango.
The good news is Becky's staying put and the Nurses' Ball will be back!!! Happy Friday #GHSpectacularSpring

“GH” fans Rebecca Herbst is staying on as Nurse Elizabeth Webber and the Nurses’ Ball isn’t going anywhere anytime soon. What acts will the residents of Port Charles put on this year? More “Magic Milo”? Will Damian Spinelli [Bradford Anderson] be back to sing? Will Sabrina Santiago [Teresa Castillo] arrive home in time to sing a duet with Nurse Epiphany Johnson [Sonya Eddy]?
