‘General Hospital’ News: Emily Wilson Starring In New TV Show ‘The Hero Effect’ – Details HERE!

‘General Hospital’ alum Emily Wilson [Ellie Trout] has partnered with ‘Dancing with the Stars‘ alum and Super Bowl champion Donald Driver for the United Way sponsored 10-part docuseries ‘The Hero Effect.’ The Dolphin Entertainment produced series will highlight 10 courageous people and their missions to make the world a better place. Emily and Donald traveled to 10 different communities in the United State in order to meet these quiet heroes.
OWN will kick off the 10-part docuseries on November 12 at 10:00am with two back-to-back episodes. ‘GH’ fans will first meet Mission United founder Stephen Moss who was inspired to start the initiative that supports military families after his daughter returned from a tour of duty in the armed services.
Next we’ll meet chef Chad Houser who owns Cafe Momentum, a restaurant in Dallas that provides culinary training for at-risk-youth. The program transforms the lives of the young people who have spent time in juvenile detention facilities.
Throughout the remaining 8 episodes Donald Driver and ‘GH’ alum Emily Wilson will introduce viewers to Dr. Brook Bello, whose story of survival has helped victims of human trafficking.
‘The Hero Effect‘ will also highlight Maria Gomez, founder of Mary’s Center, Raising Readers founder Carolyn Jones, Rising Tide Car Wash founders John and Tom D’Eri and Treehouse founded by Judy Cocke.
Another quiet community warrior highlighted will 17-year-old Katie Stagliano who started Katie’s Krops in order to teach children about grown vegetables and to use that knowledge to fight hunger.
Emily Wilson will also introduce ‘General Hospital’ fans to Julie Garreau of the Cheyenne River Youth Project and Jack Viorel of the Indo Jax Surf Charities.In an interview with ABC Soaps in Depth Emily shared, “[The Hero Project] is about passion, it’s about dedication, and it’s really about just wanting to help other people.”
