‘EastEnders’ Spoilers: Rita Simmons Teases Roxy Mitchell’s Devastating Exit On BBC Soap

EastEnders spoilers have been teasing for a while that Roxy Mitchell’s time on the BBC soap opera is limited, and Rita Simmons’ exit is right around the corner.  Simmons has played the part of Roxy on EastEnders for nearly a decade, and is considered by some a cornerstone on the soap opera.

EastEnders fans are not thrilled about Roxy Mitchell’s upcoming exit, but neither is her portrayer Rita Simmons.  Rita recently dished to The Sun about leaving the BBC soap opera.  And, the actress seems pretty upset about her character being killed off.

Simmons dished to The Sun, “Obviously I knew that I couldn’t stay there forever, and I didn’t want to stay there forever. The problem is, because I love everyone so much there and it’s such a family environment, you get very used to being there. I know in my heart of hearts it’s the right thing to do.”  She went on to say that she is going to miss her co-stars horribly, especially her on-screen sister Sam.

EastEnders rumors and spoilers have been teasing that Roxy Mitchell will take her final breath on the soap in scenes in a swimming pool, where she will tragically drown.  So far, no one from BBC has confirmed the spoilers.  Are you sad to see Roxy go?  Share your thoughts in the comments below!
