EastEnders Spoilers: Max Branning’s Return Promises Explosive Christmas Drama

EastEnders fans knew that it was only a matter of time before Max Branning waltzed back in to Walford.  BBC soap spoilers have confirmed that Jake Wood will resume the role of Max Branning on December 27, and you won’t want to miss the exciting episode.

There’s never a dull moment on the EastEnders, but it seems like the drama is always ramped up during the holidays.  It’s been quite a while since Lucy’s murder and Max Banning’s trip to jail, and things will certainly be interesting when he reappears for the holidays.

Ironically, it’s not just the week of Christmas, but also Steven Beale’s birthday.  EastEnders spoilers tease that everyone gather’s to celebrate Steven’s big day, and then the party goes awry when Lauren drops a bomb on the birthday boy and informs him that Max is back in town.

The Beale Family is noticeably shaken by Max’s return, Jane and Ian share a similar reaction to Steven’s when they receive the news.  Fans will recall, after Max went away, he sent Ian a note letting him know that pinning Lucy’s murder on him would not be water under the bridge.
