So who are you hoping makes it to the blue ribbon round? In the category of lead actresses for the pre-nominees list we have from General Hospital; Finola Hughes (Anna) who delivered some powerful scenes dealing with the death of her beloved Duke Lavery (Ian Buchanan). Maura West (Ava) who throughout 2016 gave us performance after performance playing the role of Ava Jerome and Denise DeMuccio. Laura Wright (Carly), a talented actress who had to deal with Sonny getting shot, Michael disowning his father and mother after learning their lies, and Morgan being bipolar.

From Days of Our Lives, Kate Mansi (Abigail), she had a full year of being front and centre with the serial killer storyline and being torn between her love for Ben (Robert Scott Wilson) and Chad (Billy Flynn). From The Young and the Restless, Eileen Davidson (Ashley), she had to deal with being in love with her daughter’s fiancé and a fatal illness, Eileen did deliver. Tracey E. Bregman (Lauren) who had to deal with husband having cancer and him pushing her into the arms of another man, she had our eyes glued every time she was on screen. Melissa Claire Egan (Chelsea), in my opinion she had the best year of all those pre-nominated, she brought us to tears when she found out her beloved Adam was alive and may be taken away from her when he face trial for Delia’s death. And Gina Tognoni (Phyllis), Gina delivered great scenes in some pivotal moments; having to deal with the fact that Victor had her sleeping with a dangerous criminal who had her husband’s identity.
