Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Matthew Ashford Returns – Jen & Jack Together Again!

We are all going to go through bad DOOL withdrawals, when we won’t see our favorite characters for the two weeks the Summer Olympics will be invading all of our TV shows. We have however, obtained a little teaser for you all to enjoy! Friday, August 5 will be the last episode we will see until Monday, August 22.

The first teaser has been posted, and in the episode we will see Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford) comforting his beloved Jennifer Horton (Melissa Reeves) in her imagination. This is not the first time Jack has visited a loved one in their dreams or imagination. He recently visited his daughter Abigail DiMera (Kate Mansi) when she was struggling mentally after all the abuse she had suffered from Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson).

And of course, who can forget when he appeared to Jennifer recently? Jennifer was battling a prescription drug addiction and no one seemed to be able to reach her. Not Doug or Julie, not even her brother Lucas or Aunt Maggie, who both are recovering addicts themselves. It took visions of Jack, for her to take that first step and walk into an addicts’ meeting.

They spent an entire episode reminding us of why we fell in love with them more than 25 years earlier. They met in the late 1980s when she was an intern at “The Spectator”, where her cousin Melissa Horton (Lisa Trusel) was his assistant. Married, loved, divorced, children, illnesses and remarriage. No matter how many times Jennifer tried to move on after Jack’s devastating death, she never did find another love like Jack.

Although they had many ups and downs, they still remain one of the most recognizable super couples in Days of Our Lives’ history! Are you excited to see Jack back on screen, and what do you think he will be up to this time? Is he here to help Jennifer through another crisis? Is he going to be there to comfort her through the custody battle for Thomas, or simply there to remind her she is loved?
