‘Days Of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Jennifer And Eric Grow Close, Battle Addictions Together – Will Their Relationship Turn To Romance?

Days Of Our Lives has surely turned up the heat from major casting shake ups to a serial killer storyline. Spoilers for the show this coming February teases that Eric (Greg Vaughan) and Jennifer (Melissa Reeves) are drawn together as they battle their addictions.
In 2015 DOOL killed off the character of Daniel Jonas portrayed by Shawn Christian. Christian announced that his contract was up and he decided not to renew hence the shows decision to kill off the character. In scenes that aired on December 31, 2015 Eric was drunk and got behind the wheel of a car, another car contained Brady (Eric Martsolf) and Daniel and a third car with Jennifer. Eric lost control of the car thus causing a three way accident. Daniel in the hospital, had no brain activity so the doctors gave Brady his heart while Jennifer suffered severe back injury.
Ever since Jennifer was released from the hospital, we’ve seen her taking her pills in excess of the doctors advice of usage. Jennifer is determined for her back to get better and seems she has a new found addiction. Eric constantly blames himself for what happened to Daniel and so Jennifer will be there to help him through. While Eric will notice Jennifer’s new found addiction and he will be there to help her.

As stated before spoilers for Days of Our Lives teases that Jennifer and Eric will be drawn closer as they battle their addictions. Greg Vaughan also teased in a previous interview that fans will not want to miss an episode before his exit from the show, in the same interview he made mention that stories include his co-star Melissa Reeves. We know that ever since Daniel, Jennifer has been a single woman and ever since the exit of Serena (Melissa Archer), Eric has been single. So the question stands – is Days of Our Lives about to explore a romantic relationship between the former priest and Jennifer?

I don’t have a problem with them helping each other cope with their addiction but Jennifer should be the matriarch of the Horton family. She lives in the Horton family house. The story should revolve around her happy family which SHOULD include her husband Jack Devereaux, the father p of her children. Days has veered so far away since Tom & Alice passed away!
They should be friends and that’s it. A relationship built on substance abuse does not make for a healthy one. If both were in “their right mind” they would not be attracted to each other. I think they will sleep together and people will find out, and people will realize they both need help.
I know there are people behind this pairing because they want Jennifer to have a story. But I think these two would be as enjoyable as watching Rafe and Hope. Can we say Dannifer 2.0!
I wish Days would stop with going for the shock value and just get back to what the fans want. This could have been a good story about two friends overcoming substance abuse, but why have to add the romance? Can you call that romance? Being at the such a low in your life is not a way to start a relationship. Its like falling for your sponsor. Once this story arc is over what then? I have a feeling they would be as boring a couple as Rope.
If this is the follow up to their NYE’s kiss, it’s a bit late. Jennifer reaching out to help Eric is right fit this character because that’s who she is, and Eric doing the same for her works. Both have been horribly underused and seeing them in an active story is long overdue. I’m not pro-romance given that addiction is the catalyst and Greg Vaughan is leaving. For Jennifer’s romance, I’ll never stop hoping for Frankie’s return. They were alwalways one of my favorite pairings.
It would neat if Eric and Jennifer get together.I even thought before they both had addictions they should get to get together.She’s really pretty and he is a good looking man.They both had some bad relationships with other people.I wanted Days to keep Daniel.I always thought Daniel,and Jennifer were a very nice looking couple.
