‘Days Of Our Lives’ Spoilers: DOOL Women Prove They’re Forces To Be Reckoned With, Helped Save Salem!

Let’s hear it for the heroic women of Days of Our Lives who saved their town from the Salem siege! Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall), Hope Williams Brady (Kristian Alfonso) and Jennifer Horton Deveraux (Melissa Reeves) stepped up big time and rescued Horton Square from the baddies holding it hostage.

This threesome was no match for the dangerous trio of escaped convicts terrorizing Salemites. When Xander (Paul Telfer), Orpheus (George DelHoyo) and Clyde Weston hit town they struck out fast and furious at their enemies and plunged the town into chaos.

But this girl group used girl power to hit back, and without them the lights would still be out all over town.

What can’t the amazing Marlena do? When she came up with a plan to profile the baddies, it was the beginning of the end for the bad guys. It was her prowess as a shrink that enabled the Salem PD to target the psychological weak spots of each man and systematically hunt them down.

Then she used her medical skills to save one of Salem PD’s finest, J.J Deveraux (). If Marlena hadn’t administered emergency care, Jennifer’s son would have died after being shot by Orpheus. Go, Marlena!

Soft-spoken Jennifer proved that she has nerves of steel after Orpheus strapped a vest bomb to her and left her to die. Instead of panicking she calmly walked down into the pub and helped Hope dismantle the ticking tomb bomb.

Composed Hope remained focused as she did what she had to in order to save her cousin. Once the threat was neutralized these two resilient woman hugged and cried. Grateful Jennifer said, “You didn’t leave me,” and Hope replied, “I’ll never leave you.”   

It was a touching moment on a soap that lately has been dark and ominous. It was great to see these three veteran characters get the job done and stay compassionate and caring at the same time.
