‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Daniel’s Heart Gives Life to One Victim – Will Maggie Choose Brady or Eric as Recipient?

“Days of Our Lives” spoilers for the week of January 4-8 tease that Maggie (Suzanne Rogers) will be faced with a mother’s worst nightmare. After being involved in a tragic car crash, Daniel (Shawn Christian) will essentially be dead. Maggie will be told that Daniel is being kept alive by machines and he has no real chance of recovery. To make matters worse, Maggie will have to make the biggest decision of her life during a time of crisis.

“Days” spoilers indicate that Jennifer (Melissa Reeves) will only have minor injuries as a result of the collision. Unfortunately, the same can’t be said for Eric (Greg Vaughan) and Brady (Eric Martsolf). They’ll both need a new heart, but Daniel only has one to give. DOOL’s weekly preview video shows Maggie tearfully wondering how she can choose who lives and who dies.

“Days of Our Lives” spoilers say Maggie will be a mess as she realizes she’s losing Daniel, but she’ll try to keep her head on straight as she wrestles with this decision. Victor (John Aniston) will undoubtedly offer support, but this choice will ultimately be up to Maggie. No matter who gets the heart, Maggie will feel guilty for letting one person carry on while the other one fades away.

Both Maggie and Victor are much closer to Brady, but what if Eric is in worse condition? It would be a soapy twist if Eric was given Daniel’s heart. Eric could wake up to find he’s alive thanks to the man he killed. That news would come with a tremendous amount of guilt. Still, Victor just lost Bo (Peter Reckell) and Maggie may not want him to go through losing Brady as well.

Luckily, it looks like Maggie’s decision won’t entirely seal the fate of these two men. Brady will be alert by Friday and Eric should be around through mid-April. Perhaps one of them will miraculously improve or another heart will become available from an unknown donor.

Nevertheless, it’s clear that the drama is just beginning in this storyline. Daniel’s loved ones will be left to grieve, Brady will have to process everything that’s happened and Eric’s future will be uncertain. DOOL rumors hint that Eric’s actions could create major consequences. Stick with “Days of Our Lives” for updates on the difficult times ahead.
