‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Distraught Chad Gives Up Custody Fight – Jennifer Struggles with Grief, Turns to Pills and Alcohol

“Days of Our Lives” spoilers tease that Abigail’s (Kate Mansi) death will leave Chad (Billy Flynn) feeling depressed and alone. Before the confirmation came in, Chad could cling to a small glimmer of hope. He felt like Abigail might return to him one day. Chad just wasn’t willing to give up on Abby and their future together.

Unfortunately, Andre (Thaao Penghlis) provided false proof that points to Abigail’s demise. Now Chad will try to accept that Abigail isn’t coming back. He’ll completely lose it as he realizes the love of his life is gone forever. When Chad married Abigail, he thought they would finally get the bliss they had worked so hard to achieve.

Alas, no couple ever gets a “happy ever after” on DOOL. “Days” spoilers indicate that Chad’s sorrow will lead to a risky decision. He’ll determine that Jennifer (Melissa Reeves) might be right about Thomas. Chad will agree to stop fighting Jennifer on the custody issue.

Of course, we can’t forget that Jennifer recently had a drug problem. Her painkiller addiction will come back in full force as she lets go of her daughter. “Days of Our Lives” spoilers hint that Jennifer will once again turn to pills as a source of comfort. She’ll also throw some booze in the mix as she tries to get through this crisis at a cheap motel.

Jennifer will eventually pass out as her family frantically searches for her. “Days of Our Lives” spoilers say Julie (Susan Seaforth Hayes), Hope (Kristian Alfonso) and Belle (Martha Madison) will find Jennifer in a terrible state. It looks like Jennifer isn’t a great candidate for custody after all. How can she care for a baby if she can’t even care for herself?

Perhaps Chad will keep Thomas or someone else will step up until he works through his grief. Regardless, Abigail’s loved ones are in for a rough time over the next few months. “Days” rumors suggest that they may have a heartbreaking memorial service for Abigail soon.

Luckily, Andre’s twisted games will be revealed down the road. Once Marci Miller debuts as Abigail this fall, Chad and Jennifer will get good news. We’ll give you updates as more info comes in.
