Days Of Our Lives Spoilers: Abigail Deveraux Transitioning To A Salem ‘Bad Girl’ – Any Hope For ‘Chabby’ Reunion?

Just in time for Christmas, “Days of Our Lives,” fans got the first glimpse of a very naughty Abigail Deveraux (Marci Miller) when she resorted to blackmail to keep her existence secret! Does this signal a change in direction for the formerly nice Abigail?

DOOL viewers have known for some time that Abigail is alive and well and hiding in Salem. But her secret is slowly getting out, and every day it seems yet another person stumbles into the confused waif.

Before she was sent to a mental institution, and later presumed dead in a plane crash, Abigail was the epitome of sweetness. She was a doting mother to baby Thomas and devoted to the love of her life Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn).

But extended interactions with a crazed stalker ex-boyfriend slowly turned Abigail into a mixed-up mess. When we last saw her in Salem, she had tried to set fire to a house with her baby inside.

This definitely wasn’t the Abigail that was raised by saintly Jennifer Horton (Melissa Reeves).  So it shouldn’t be too surprising that the version of Abigail that returned to town is a little … off.

Disappointed Chabby fans expected to see a beautiful reunion between the two lovebirds, not a reclusive young woman who is shunning her family.

Spoilers reveal that Chabby will soon meet up, but is Abigail’s resistance to a reunion thus far a bad omen for their future together?

What if Abigail has simply been through too much to ever return to her good-natured, loving self? Last week we saw her uncharacteristically blackmail and threaten Dario Hernandez (Jordi Vilasuso)!

It’s clear that her unresolved mental health issues are influencing Abigail’s behavior. But shouldn’t she have been a bit more interested in reconciling with Chad and Thomas?

The prognosis for a return to the Abigail that DOOL viewers knew and loved gets dimmer each day that she remains distant from her former life and loved ones.
