‘Days of Our Lives’ POLL: What Bothers You More, The New Abby or Her Storyline? VOTE!

‘Days of Our Lives’ (DOOL) has recently introduced Kate Mansi’s replacement, Marci Miller for the role of Abby Deveraux – DiMera; and fans have very mixed reviews when it comes to the whole story line; so the question is, what bothers you more: the new Abby or her whole story line?

While Kate Mansi was still playing Abby, things were just beginning to snowball, and she was given great material to work with. First, she gets pregnant, even though she was dating Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson), she ended up sleeping with long-time love, Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn).

Ben couldn’t handle Abby being with any other man and forced her to deliver her baby boy, Thomas, then set the cabin on fire to kill her and Chad inside. Chad and Abby were rescued and reunited with their son, and Ben was hauled off to a psychiatric facility. He somehow escapes and after stalking Abby, she seduces him and sets him on fire; before she could kill him, Chad stopped her.

Ben is taken to the hospital, then prison and Abby admits herself into the hospital after her delusions continue. She continues to see him, so she sets her room on fire in the hospital, and the last time we see Kate as Abby she is lying in bed with a Phantom of the Opera type mask covering her face.

We now have Marci Miller in the role for a few weeks now, and fans feel very passionate about it. Abby may be back, but she is not the strong woman we saw before all the stuff Ben did to her, she seems rather weak and scared of her own skin. She refuses to reveal herself to the love of her life, Chad, but wants to see her son, Thomas.

Abby is currently living in her mother Jennifer’s (Melissa Reeves) attic, and the only two people who know she is alive are her mother and her brother, JJ (Casey Moss). The story is confusing to fans, and it gets frustrating when it doesn’t make sense. Why would Abby be afraid to reunite with Chad, and allow him the opportunity to pursue a relationship with her brother’s girlfriend, Gabi Hernandez (Camila Banus)?

Chad has been nothing but loving and kind to Abby, and now she wants nothing to do with him? WHY? We know that DOOL fans are super passionate about their show and grow very attached to characters and the actors who portray them, so please take this poll and let us know what you think.
