‘Days Of Our Lives’ News: Shawn Christian Headed To Primetime, Joins Cast Of ‘Famous In Love’

‘Days of Our Lives’ alum Shawn Christian [Ex-Daniel Jonas] has booked yet another gig. This time it’s a role in the upcoming series ‘Famous in Love’ as reported by the actor himself. Christian teased that he joined the upcoming teen drama series via a post on his Twitter. “Grateful to be part of this exciting new show, Thx for a seat in this talented cast,” he tweeted.

It’s fabulous news for those fans who have been missing him on ‘Days of Our Lives’, fans need not worry anymore as their favorite actor will continue to be on their screens. Christian landed a role on the Freeform’s upcoming drama “which follows an ordinary college student who lands the leading role in a Hollywood blockbuster and falls in love with none one but both of her costars,” Soap Central shares.

‘Famous in Love’ was created and tells the story based on the original book written by Rebecca Serle. Shawn Christian joins Belle Thorne who was been tapped for the lead role, Paige Townsen. The upcoming series ‘Famous in Love’ is scheduled for a 2017 debut but no exact date is known as yet.

For those who may not know before Christian took on the role of Daniel Jonas he had some other soap opera roles. He played Mike Kasnoff on the now defunct ‘As the World Turns’ from 1994 – 1997 and briefly played Ross Rayburn on ‘One Life to Live’. After these roles, Christian took on his next major and most memorable daytime role as Daniel Jonas on ‘Days of Our Lives’ from 2008 – 2016. Currently it is unknown what role Shawn Christian will play in the upcoming drama but as usual Soap Opera Spy will keep you up to date.
