‘Days Of Our Lives’ News: Performer Of The Week – Billy Flynn

This week on “Days of Our Lives,” an eerie thunderstorm set the stage for a heartfelt reunion between one reformed father and his grieving son. Stefano (Joseph Mascolo) sensed that Chad (Billy Flynn) was struggling, so he appeared to him in a startling vision. Once the shock wore off, Chad opened up to his dad. His feelings came pouring out and the sweet moments touched DOOL viewers’ hearts.

Billy Flynn’s performance really blew us away. We knew he was good, but this was just outstanding! Flynn recently tweeted that this scene was his favorite to date. He later added that this episode was a “very personal one” and said he hoped “Days” fans would enjoy it. We certainly did!

Tears streamed down Flynn’s face as he portrayed the sorrow of someone in desperate need of closure. Fortunately, Chad got what he was looking for. Stefano told Chad he was free to be his own man. They even shared a tender hug. It was quite a love fest by the crackling fire.

Of course, we have to give a shout-out to the incredible Joseph Mascolo for being such a great scene partner. Mascolo undoubtedly helped Flynn dig deep for those intense emotions. It was fantastic to see Mascolo back as Stefano, even if it was only as a ghost. We definitely wouldn’t mind if Stefano wanted to stop by the mansion again. Just saying…

Other honorable mentions would include James Lastovic (Joey) and Mary Beth Evans (Kayla). When Joey confessed to his mom, you could sense his terror. Likewise, you could feel Kayla’s strong urge to protect her son no matter the cost. We have to give credit to Lastovic and Evans for their tremendous work. They’re huge assets to “Days of Our Lives.”
