‘Days Of Our Lives’ News: Mark Laursen Joins ‘DOOL’ Cast As Petrov – John’s Ruthless Enemy

The latest “Days of Our Lives” news hints that a man from John’s (Drake Hogestyn) past is about to stir up trouble. Soap Opera Digest is reporting that Mark Laursen will take over the role of Petrov. The role was previously played by Kai Wulff. Longtime DOOL fans will remember that Petrov played a crucial part of Stefano’s (Joseph Mascolo) schemes against John. There’s definitely some bad blood there.

Petrov also has ties to Winterthorne Academy. We’ve been hearing a lot about that mysterious school lately. John was trained to be an assassin and the organization wants to employ him again. This agency is going to cause extreme danger in the near future. However, Petrov’s name will come up once more before we get to all the action.

“Days of Our Lives” spoilers indicate that Eduardo will find out that Petrov and Deimos (Vincent Irizarry) are connected in some way. The link could lead John to even more revelations. After Marlena (Deidre Hall) and Arianna (Harper and Sydnee Udell) are kidnapped, John will immediately rush to see Deimos. He’ll demand information about Deimos’ connection to Petrov.

When Deimos plays dumb, John will get desperate. He’ll beg Deimos to give a message to the kidnappers. John will want to keep his loved ones safe and bring them home ASAP. It sounds like Petrov may have been involved in this mess. We last saw this character back in 1991, but it’s clear that these ruthless enemies haven’t forgotten each other.

Laursen’s first air date hasn’t been confirmed, but “Days” viewers will be anxious to see what’s in store. DOOL spoilers say John’s father will show up soon, too. It turns out he’s not dead after all. Tobin Bell will portray John’s dad, who now calls himself Yo Ling. John wanted answers about his history and he’s certainly going to get them!
