‘Days Of Our Lives’ News: Jonathon McClendon Confirms ‘DOOL’ Exit – No Longer Filming As Chase Jennings

Could the latest casting scoop be true – has Jonathon McClendon [Chase Jennings] had his final days on ‘Days of our Lives’? It’s sad but true, looks like McClendon is out at the NBC soap opera, well at least for now. McClendon is very sad about his current status with the show. He took to Twitter today sharing “Its true guys…#days has not contracted me for any episodes in multiple months. It was a real pleasure being on @nbcdays.”

Things were looking really bright for Chase fans who witnessed him getting stabbed after an altercation with an inmate in prison. Chase was rushed to the hospital to undergo surgery and he survived. He was then placed in a private hospital for his recovery process. This led several fans to believe that while rumors were circulating of his departure he would be sticking around. Unfortunately according to McClendon’s tweet this doesn’t seem to be the case.

With regards to his tweet that declares he has not been taping any episodes for multiple months, Chase will be off screen for a very long time even if contacted now. With his on screen father, Aiden Jennings [Daniel Cosgrove] back, many believed this was to give the character room for more potential storylines. But it seems the character will be out at least for a while, so what will be his last scenes? When Soap Opera Spy reached out to McClendon he wasn’t at liberty to share.

McClendon is a good actor, since his debut on ‘Days of Our Lives’ he has pulled off every storyline given to a T. We were really hoping to see him stick around for the unforeseeable future but it looks like he’s out of the show at least temporary.
