‘Days Of Our Lives’ News: Freddie Smith Talks DOOL Return And What’s Next For Sonny

‘Days of Our Lives’ spoilers tease that Freddie Smith is back as Sonny Kiriakis and he’s not going anywhere, anytime soon. Welcome back to Salem Sonny! – What in heaven’s name will you be up to this time around?

The new issue of the Soap Opera Digest magazine is now on stands and in it Smith talks about going back to ‘Days of Our Lives’. Spoilers indicate that the young actor will appear on the July 26th episode of the NBC serial. And what do the show executives have planned for Sonny now that he’s back in Salem? Will his love life be on track?

“You’re going to see Sonny interacting with everyone,” Smith noted as he added that “I’ll definitely be back for a while. I’m excited,” he shared with SOD. So Sonny will clearly be involved in the current storylines that are taking place now.

Firstly, he most definitely will be interacting with his former lover, Paul Narita [Christopher Sean]. Now that Sonny’s first husband, Will Horton is dead, he’s going to need somebody to love and at the moment the only available person we can think of is Paul! Although Sonny was rather upset that Paul had an affair with his husband, it’s possible he will look past that.

Then, as promised by several soap stars Lucas [Bryan Dattilo] and Sonny’s mom, Adrienne [Judi Evans] are gearing up to wed. And, Sonny will undoubtedly be unhappy about this. We know for a fact that Sonny would love to see his parents back together but that isn’t happening, at least not right now.

And, what will Sonny have to say about the current state of his friend, Chad’s [Billy Flynn] love life when he learns Abigail ran away? Fans who are you hoping Sonny hooks up with? Do you agree with Sonny that his parents should reunite?
