Emmy Award winner, Eric Martsolf (Brady Black, Days of Our Lives,) and his wife, Lisa Martsolf, have moved to Las Vegas to open a Cardio Barre exercise studio, according to a video posted on Mary Beth Evans’ (Kayla Brady, Days of Our Lives) lifestyle blog.
Cardio Barre uses ballet bars and ballet- movement and weights to create a “no-impact, high-energy work” that simultaneously strengthens muscles, explains Lisa in the video. She says, “You don’t need to be a dancer to do the workout, because instructors lead you every step of the way.”
The two are snuggled lovingly next to each other as Eric then chimes in to say that it was a “big decision” to pursue this dream. Lisa says she has been using Cardio Barre for close to ten years to stay in shape, discovering it first when she wanted to get back to her pre-pregnancy fitness level after giving birth to her twin sons with Eric, Mason Alan and Chase Evan in 2006. Also, the benefits of Cardio Barre extend beyond its physical benefits, as it teaches one about perseverance and adjusting to life’s changes. Lisa has been a fitness instructor for 22 years, and a Cardio Barre instructor for 6.

The two moved to Las Vegas to open their studio because of the abundance of Cardio Barre studios in Los Angeles—“16 to 18,” says Lisa. But, they both emphasize, they have always defined their own “normal,” and to them, pursuing adventure instead of shrinking from it has always been a part of their shared vision of their life. They also met while traveling for their jobs, Eric says, so nomadic ways come naturally to them. They also want to set an example for their twin boys, Eric hints, as he points to a pictures of them behind himself and Lisa hanging on a wall. “Almost every decision we make lately has to do with them,” he says.
“I love Cardio Barre, and I love stories of people making their dreams come true…so this is a perfect story!” writes Evans in the blog post.
Eric closes the video by saying, “Chase your dreams.”
“Amen,” Lisa responds.
