‘Days Of Our Lives’ News: Drake Hogestyn Temporarily Out At ‘DOOL’ After Serious Accident – Details Here!

‘Days of Our Lives’ spoilers reveal that another brake is coming for Drake Hogestyn’s John Black. According to a report from GLOBE, Hogestyn has taken a break from the NBC soap opera to spend time recovering from a fall.

Reportedly Hogestyn was at his home when he fell from a tree situated on the outside of his home. This incident took place in May and Hogestyn has not been filming since. The writers decided to temporarily write him out of the show to allow time for recovery. “Show execs have been told Drake suffered internal bleeding,” the magazine reports adding that “it sounds like he cheated death”.

What does this temporary break mean for his character, John? Since ‘Days of Our Lives’ is still taping their episodes so far ahead of air time, it means his break won’t happen on screen until about this fall. But how will John Black be written out?

Recently Deidre Hall, who plays Marlena Evans, revealed that there will be some weddings happening on the soap opera this summer. And, one of the weddings taking place involves John and Marlena, a wedding that is long overdue.

His break won’t take place until sometime after their wedding. Will his break be explained on screen? Will the ISA need John’s assistance and he leaves Salem on their behalf?
