‘Days Of Our Lives’ News: Drake Hogestyn Returns To Filming ‘DOOL’ After Scary Injury Earlier This Year

‘Days of Our Lives’ actor Drake Hogestyn [John Black], who succumbed to an injury on set earlier this year, is reportedly back at work at the NBC studios. John Black fans were deeply devastated when they learned that the fan favorite had fallen on set causing an injury that would have the actor take a break from work. Hogestyn’s return to work was very appreciated, Dena Highley, ‘Days’ co-head writer, tweeted of his return sharing “Drake in studio today. Great that he’s back.”

Drake is apparently back before he ever left, he has not been on screen since his injury was announced. When it was first reported of his incident the first thought was that he would have to take time off from the daytime soap opera to recover. He did do so but with the show taping episodes so far ahead the actor’s on screen absence is yet to be seen. Drake has been front and center in major storylines happening on the canvas. He’s a big part of the return of the terrible trio who are determined to wreck havoc on the lives of the people in Salem.

Will we eventually see Drake being off screen to make up for the time he took for recovery? If so how will he be written out temporarily? Fans are very happy to have him back amidst him not being off-screen. Higley’s tweet received positive responses from a number of fans who shared how happy they were to hear he’s back at work.
