‘Days of Our Lives’ News: Stephen Nichols Built A House This Labor Day!

The miniature house is the stuff of kids’ dreams! The handsome wooden structure boasts a stacked plank roof with a prominent gable, and beautiful picture windows with matching flower boxes. Many happy hours and days will be spent playing and pretending in this special house!

Nichols’ fans wasted no time recognizing his labor of love. “Great job grandpa,” “Your grandson is so cute and he is lucky to have such an awesome grandfather!” and “your loved ones will treasure this. What a wonderful grandpa you are,” are just some of the warm compliments.

A few eagle-eyed fans also noticed that good looks run in the family! “The little guy looks like grandpa,” “Your grandson looks like your mini me,” “grandson looks just like you,” and more specifically, “Your grandson looks just like your son when he played the younger version of Steve on DOOL,” observed “Days” fans.

Nichol’s onscreen family isn’t leading a similarly charmed life. This summer Steve and Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) raced across the country to rescue son Joey (James Lastovic) from a Mad Max-ish cult.

Now, spoilers reveal that Kayla’s health takes a sudden turn for the worse when a preexisting medical condition nosedives. An emergency evaluation reveals that surgery is her only option.

In the desperate hours after her surgery, Kayla’s husband and son struggle to face the possibility that their lives may never be the same.

However, spoilers also divulge that once Kayla emerges from surgery she proposes that Steve return home with her.
